Taking Our Temporary Apartment to the Next Level!
In March of 2021, my husband and I received the keys to our brand new house… but from then on, it was all a waiting game as we sourced our architect, submitted renovation plans to the city, interviewed over 40 contractors, and moved into a temporary apartment in the meantime. Yep, what a ride it’s been! Home ownership (especially in California) is not for the faint of heart! 😅Thankfully, my sister-in-law stepped in to help make this transition easier by lending us her spare apartment. The apartment was already cozy as is, but I had no idea how grand it could be with just a bit more love. HERO PIECES:
The Hudson Bed is quite a marvel. I love the midcentury framing and neutral color scheme with understated, gold accent legs. It truly feels like we’re sleeping in a 5-star hotel bed! The swivel chair, on the other hand, is as cozy as they come. The curve perfectly supports my back and the swivel is as smooth as can be. Highly recommend for anyone who likes to read for hours on end!

The U-Shape is a game-changer because both Jon and I can fully sprawl out without fighting each other for the sectional space! Fun fact: we actually removed one module from the center of the sectional to customize it to this room. The extra module is currently being stored in our garage. I can’t wait to show you the full length of the sofa once we move into our new home!

Finally, we have the Miles Dining set and Hudson Sideboard. The craftsmanship behind these pieces is exquisite. Not only is the table sturdy and pretty stain-resistant, it’s also extendable! This is an incredible piece to have if you love entertaining. The Hudson Sideboard also frames the dining room beautifully. True to its name, the Hudson Sideboard matches the Hudson Bed in both design and color. We will move both of these matching pieces into our future guest room!
